Foreword
Aquatim actively supports culture by being part of it. The 6th edition of the Timisoara International
Street Art Festival (FISART 2016) is such an example. The artists who joined the festival were given green
light from Aquatim to work on several decommissioned industrial buildings and other spaces within the Bega
Water Treatment Plant from Timisoara. The company also provided opportunities for the public interested to
see these spectacular new sights, organizing open doors and guided tours of the plant.
The intervention made by FISART 2016 in the water treatment plant’s space has been a remarkable one.
We therefore have chosen to carry on the good work and publish this catalog, presenting the pieces of artwork
that are now part of our assets and of the urban landscape and cultural heritage.
Timisoara is one of the European Capitals of Culture for 2021 and the release of this catalog into the
regional, national and international cultural media proves that Aquatim has assumed an active role, as a partner
of the municipality, for the implementation of this important project.
