Murals Will Make the Quay More Beautiful
All six ranney collector wells, located on the Danube bank along the Sunny Quay, will be painted in murals by the
autumn this year, as part of the project of muralisation and improvement of public surfaces in Novi Sad. This project is
part of the Bid-book which brought the European Capital of Culture title to Novi Sad.
Fabrika Kulture’ association designs and implements this project, based on the agreement with ‘Vodovod i Kanalizacija’
Public Utility Enterprise, and with support from ‘Novi Sad 2021’. The association announced that all ranney collector
wells along the quay will be painted by the end of the ‘painting season’. The project should end with a workshop where
the artists, who participated in muralisation of ranney wells, will work with young citizens of Novi Sad who like street
art.
– We are thrilled that we start implementation of muralisation of Novi Sad and promotion of street art in the first year of
the European Capital of Culture – said the reprezentativ, and expressed her belief that there will be more projects like
this in the following years.
Murals on five ranney wells will be painted by Novi Sad artists, while the sixth will be painted by a Polish street artists
who will arrive to Novi Sad as part of the cooperation with the Wrocław 2016 team, and Plants AiR residential
programme.
