Regarding the existence of the patents, we rely on our partners from the country
of origin to control this.
So be sure that I will write to our Romanian partner and tell them about your
findings. I will ask them to investigate this point and to come back to us.

If this is verified, we will refuse them for next exhibitions and claim back the
medal.

Scoring elements to take into consideration.
Ø Novelty/originality: Is it something completely new? Is this a new approach, a
new way to combine and to get results? Have you already seen something
similar?
Ø Utility: Is this something that is bringing a value for the potential users? Do you

consider there is something attractive for users that will push them using it?
Is it an added value for some countries/users (in function of their
characteristics: climate, localisation, development, security…) Is the
technology present to make it available?
Ø Feasibility/commercialization: Is it something already industrialized, can this be

industrialized, do you see a potential market for this?
Ø Stand presentation: Is there a prototype? A reduction or a model to document
the invention? Was the inventor present to explain and give more details?
Ø Protection: Is there a Patent? Has the inventor an idea on how to protect his
invention?
Ø Cost: Is this affordable and realistic regarding the targeted usage? In other
words, is there a possibility to use it on the short term or do we have to wait

for further situation evolution?
